Vintage wooden jewelry box with a tapestry top, most likely made in Japan. The scene on the tapestry appears to resemble "The Gleaners," a famous scene based on Jean-François Millet's 1857 painting. The box Includes a hinged top with a built-in mirror, multiple top compartments for organization, and a lower drawer for additional storage. The box is also lined with beautiful yellow velvet. A few signs of wear on the wood but this jewelry box is beautiful! Measurements are 8 inches in length by 6.5 inches in width and about 4.5 inches in height.
