This piece is a vintage, hand-thrown studio pottery bottle or decanter. Unsure of the origin, there is no artist signature or maker’s mark but I purchased this beautiful piece in Australia. Might be Australian made, or not. It features a rich, dark brown glaze with a textured, carved or brutalist motif and is sealed with a natural cork. There is an old piece of paper attached to the bottom indicating the inner wax lining. The cork looks very organic and natural.
